Luthier’s International introduces our intense four
(4) week program. We’ve heard from several of you that you just can’t take 3 months at once to attend a Luthier program. Well here is our answer to you. A scaled down version of our course that
will give you a basic foundation to work from. In this program you will build an electric guitar from raw materials, wood.
You will learn how to shape a neck (yours) and route a truss rod cavity, do all the body routing and contours as well as everything
else that goes in to building a guitar. You will learn basic fretwork, including fretboard slotting, radiusing, nut making,
basic wiring, spraying a lacquer finish and much more! All of the covered work done in this class will give you the
basic understanding of guitar repair’s as well. From here you should have the skills to be able to continue on your
own to build or repair. Materials should cost approx. $150.00-$250.00 depending on your build and parts you buy. We supply the necessary
tools while you train. NEXT 4
WEEK PROGRAM STARTS MAY, 2012 Tuition $3750.00 Enrollment is limited. Call Trish Marshall today to reserve your spot. 678-344-3104

We take pride in our strong academic reputation. This course will allow you to complete an Electric Guitar and
at the same time make a nut, learn basic fretwork, basic wiring and more.
Areas of Concentration:
- Cutting out body
- Routing all cavities
- Routing truss rod cavity
- Slotting fretboard
- Shaping neck
- Sanding body & neck
- Applying an oil finish
Being Realistic:
As you can imagine ten day's is not very long. So with that in mind we will be working eight (8) hour day's
for the complete ten day's. Enrollment for this course will be very limited and will be on a first come basis.
You will gain the basic skills required to build guitar's and will leave with a playing guitar. Keep in mind that we are teaching
"YOU" to do the work. So you will want to keep your expectation's and aspirations to a minimum, as your abilities
develop and you progress in this field you can then start to build more complicated and detailed instruments. This is a beginners
course and will be overwhelming for some, but we will get you through it. I would recommend making a tele or strat style
bolt on neck, hard tail guitar or a four or five string Bass Guitar. Remember "YOU" are building the guitar not
us. We have parts, supplies, wood and almost everything you will need here at the school for purchase at wholesale prices
but you are welcome to bring your own parts, wood etc..If you do have your own parts and wood please have them with you
on the first day. You will not need any tool's, as we supply them here for your use, while attending Luthiers International,
but you are welcome to bring your own if you desire.
