
What to expect !
Week's
1 & 2 During your first week here we take this time to bring everyone
to the same level quickly. We start out doing basic setups on electric, acoustic, bass guitars and guitars with floating tremelos.
You will make some necessary tool's needed for fretwork such as a fret wire radius machine, fret leveling file, fret beveling
file, radius gauges etc.. Then we move right into fret work, pulling frets, planning fingerboards, re-fretting, beveling
and dressing frets.
Week's 3 & 4 We do extensive
covering of electric guitar and acoustic guitar wiring. You will do at least ten complete re-wires including Strat, tele,
P, bass, J.Bass, LesPaul, and much more. You will also cover thinline acoustic installations and electrical trouble-shooting.
We will start building our acoustic
guiar project. Bending the sides, making braces, re-sawing top and back pieces and more. You will begin some advanced electronic
classses which may include amp set-ups, biasing tube amps, more extremely complicated advanced guitar wiring possibilities
etc...

Week's
5 & 6
We begin our inlay projects such as selecting materials, tool’s, and projects.
You will learn to cut shell and various other materials. Inlay work can crossover into other area’s such as jewelry,
gunstocks, pool cue’s etc… and can be very profitable. This is a very technical and rewarding part of our program.
Of course more work on our Acoustic Guitar project! Acoustic Guitar Repairs come into play. Broken neck’s,
cracked top’s and much more.
Week’s
7 & 8
We
will begin to discuss Guitar design, template making, tools, jigs and a host of other thing’s including finish work.
Applying Polyurethane, Lacquer’s, Oil finishes and spraying techniques. More fretwork, Nut’s, Saddles. You will
start building your electric guitar. Selecting wood, hardware, truss rod etc…
Week’s
9 & 10
Well
now we move into warp speed and start to use everything that you have learned so far. Cutting out body shapes, making
your neck, routing truss rod cavities, routing all pickup – cavities, slotting your fret board, finishing the acoustic
guitar project, covering alternative repair methods such as pressing frets and more. You will begin to start a second guitar
at this time and as time permits.
Week 11
Well this is it ! Final exam time, finish all your projects and get ready to face the "WORLD"
